- What is the rent?
The rent will depend on your income.
Springfield Place and Kin Place both use an Income Cap to determine the rent. There are a number of suites that are determined by Rent Gear to Income (RGI).
- Are there meals provided?
In Springfield Place Supportive living nutritious meals and snacks are provided for the tenants. Independent living tenants can purchase meals from our Kitchen which operates 7 days per week.
At Kin Place the Take Out Meal Program operates five days per week and you can purchase your meal by calling 204-444-3132 press 1.
- What is close by?

- Can I have visitors stay with me?
You may have visitors stay with you. Your suite is your home.
- Am I allowed to have pets?
No, there are no pets allowed.
- Do you have a hairdresser on site?
There is a hairdresser who comes to Springfield Place and will do your hair in your suite.
- What security is in place?
At Kin Place, the doors are locked, C door is open from 8:00 a.m. and opened at 8:00 p.m.
At Springfield Place, the doors are locked, You will need to buzz in.
- What if I have a car?
If you live in either independent living facility, you will have a parking space for your car. This cost will be included in your rental fee.
- Is smoking allowed?
Both facilities are smoke free. There will be designated areas to smoke outside.
- What if I have a disability?
Springfield Place is totally wheelchair accessible. Other disabilities may be able to be accommodated as determined.
- Is there a long waiting list?
We do have a waiting list, but those with the most need will get in first.
